My Medical At St. Luke's Clinic...
I arrived at Manila on May 27,2012 at exactly 9:20 A.M.,,that was my 2nd landing in Ninoy Aquino International Airport.I went there with My Mom, We got a hotel nearby in St. Luke's Medical Clinic that just took 5 minutes by walk.I advice that the best hotels which are very very near are Soriente Hotel, City Garden Suites(which we checked in) and then there is a cheapest one there for those who wanted to have a very cheapest stay but very near to St. lukes it is called Tropical Hotel still located in Ermita. It is across of St. Lukes Medical Clinic. ST. LUKE'S MEDICAL CENTER EXTENSION CLINIC located at:1177 J. Bocobo St. Ermita, Manila 1000 PHILIPPINESand their website is http://www.slec.ph/index.php .I went at the clinic around 2:00 A.M. and I was on the 2nd in the line and I was so very glad about it.There was already a guy there who was from Cebu who was the very first one to arrived. At exactly 6:00 A.M. guard was already at the front door to remind all the documents needed before you can get inside the clinic. Guard was sleeping inside the building and I knew he saw people outside the building. The guard checked my requirements like 3 pcs. of my 2 by 2 pictures, Appointment Confirmation from US embassy interview, Instruction letter sent to your address containing your new case number that starts with MNL ( original and 2Photocopies), Passport and 2 photocopies of it with the Biographic page (the front of the passport that indicates your Information). ,
It's better you have someone with you, so that if ever you are not prepared with all your documents you can ask that someone to be in your line. You can have pictures and photocopies at the very front of the clinic. Also the guard asked me if I already filled up online registration which is the PDS or Patients Data Sheets, It's better to fill up online before going to clinic so that you will not be in a hurry to put information in the sheet being given to you by the guard and also when you get inside the clinic, you will just wait and very relax.
Upon arrival at SLEC, applicants WILL BE ACCOMMODATED ON A FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED BASIS. NO APPOINTMENT IS NECESSARY. This online registration form aims to reduce registration time by having most of the applicant's information ready upon arrival at the registration area. You can fill up online registration in this site http://www.slec.ph/us/registration/.It's better also to fill up online with printer ready because you can just print after fill up the form. But in my case when i filled it up, we don't have printer and I was really worried because I can't fill it up again since it might have my multiply records at the the clinic. After I filled it up they sent me a confirmation thru mail that my registration was successful and remind me these : This is to confirm your pre-registration for your Medical Examination at St. Luke's Medical Center Extension Clinic.
As stated on the website, you should present your printout upon arrival at the clinic. If you have lost your printout, PRINT TWO (2) COPIES of the email message sent directly to your e-mail address and present it when you come to SLEC. Please make sure all registration information are visible in the printout, otherwise your online registration will not be honored. So what I did is bring the e-mail being sent to me by them. And then the guard told me to get inside and gave me my number,

to filled up...

gave also one sheet of paper that look like this and wait to be called. Few minutes of waiting at exactly 6:30 one of the guard inside calling first 10 to fall in line in front of the U.S.A. reception. There were 3 counters in U.S.A. Reception ( J, K, and L if i was not mistaken) the letter L is for senior citizens( the last letter). The one ahead of me which was number 1 was assigned to the counter J, and I was the first one on counter K and I really don't like the woman who assigned there, of course it was my first time so I don't really know what to do first so I was nervous :D.. I asked some questions and she answered like raising her brows, and so very "suplada". After U.S.A counter she instructed me to go to 5th floor to paid the amount of 9,589 pesos.
Note:You can print
this :http://www.slec.ph/img/Day1.PNG and
http://www.slec.ph/img/Day2.png it will give you a hint where to go during your medical exam.
I remembered they asked me to write in a piece of paper a written from me and signature that I allowed them to perform a Chest x-ray with me because of my irregular menstruation period ( Visayan, Tagalog or English it's up to you). And take note they will asked you when was the last time of your period so better remember that, you cannot say 1st week of the month of blah blah because they wouldn't accept that, If you can't remember make your lucky guess (that's what I did :D ) anyway they will not know it.Take note before going to Medical especially if you are first timer you should read some articles, blogs or anything that can help and give you a hint what is going on inside the clinic so that at least you have a little idea about the place where you are going.I suggest you should bring jacket because it is very very cold inside the clinic and you will be waiting there for many hours especially if you will get there around 7:00 or 8:00 A.M. , a lot of applicants already. And also please please please don't listen to the fixers outside building or someone there that suggested about your photo or anything as long as you know you bring the correct one, they will just wanted to make business with you. And if ever you want to make sure about everything you can contact anytime the SLEC (e-mail address slec@slec.ph) to make sure of any information you wanted to know, they will reply you immediately. Please be reminded that when you are inside the clinic please always be pay attention to your number to be called by one of the staff because once you misheard it they will not called you back again. Staff there are very strict but very fast they don't like repeating the instructions given but sometimes because of their fastness in work they lose the proper customer service to the applicants.
I pitty for those who have problem with hearing ( I am one of THOSE I'm talking lol...) those having eye problem or even those not really know how to write and follow instructions. Hopefully the staff at St. Luke's will change and treat us well and very approachable to the applicants because we paid them enough to be good to us and take note mostly are all first timers so we really don't know what to do inside the clinic.
My experienced I will never forget during my Medical is my Physical exam which was to undressed and lay down on that elevated bed, and then the doctor checked everything in me (so ashamed) and also the vaccination wow they have big needle and it was scares me a lot and I thought I was going to die hehehhe anyway that was the unforgettable Day at the Clinic.
The medical screening examination usually requires 2 working days to complete if
no additional examination is needed. The first day is the medical examination;
the second day is for vaccination and release of result. However, if during the
medical screening examination additional work-ups will be required in accordance
with the US Technical Instruction, the entire process may take longer to
complete.
BUt guess what?! I done it just for half day or maybe a
little more on half day but not whole day :D :P because I got immediately my
result and I know I passed my Medical Exam. I was so very glad, around 2pm I
done it all completely
oopppss!!! before I forget I met several friends there named: Bernadette from Makati who have a Filipino boyfriend and going to North Carolina, Lori from Davao going to New York City who married to a Black American Guy, and Grace from Bohol who will be going to Las Vegas with a Filipino Boyfriend also.
